Program Overview
Experience veterinary ophthalmology in a real European referral environment through the EAVSI European Study Tour & Clinical Shadowing Program at SeeVet Ophthalmology Center.
Founded by ECVO Diplomate Dr. Nunzio D’Anna, SeeVet is an international referral center for veterinary ophthalmology, providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.
This immersive program gives veterinarians the opportunity to observe real clinical cases, follow specialist decision-making, and gain first-hand experience of European veterinary ophthalmology workflows.
About SeeVet Ophthalmology Clinic
SeeVet is a specialized veterinary ophthalmology center in Rome with a strong focus on advanced ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment.
The center provides full-spectrum ophthalmology services, including:

With 30+ ophthalmic cases observed daily, participants can gain high-volume clinical exposure and encounter a diverse range of veterinary eye diseases.
Clinical Shadowing & Surgical Observation
During the program, participants will be immersed in the daily workflow of a European veterinary ophthalmology clinic.
You will have the opportunity to:
l Observe 30+ real clinical cases per day
l Follow cases from consultation to diagnosis and treatment planning
l Observe ophthalmic examinations and diagnostic procedures
l Understand specialist clinical decision-making
l Observe routine and advanced ophthalmic surgeries
l Learn about surgical indications, techniques and post-operative management
l Work alongside Dr. Nunzio D’Anna and ECVO residents
l Gain insight into European veterinary referral workflows
Case availability and surgical observation are subject to the clinical schedule.
Learn Through Real Clinical Cases
Rather than focusing only on classroom-based theory, this veterinary ophthalmology clinical shadowing program emphasizes learning through real patients and real clinical decisions.
Participants will observe how specialists:
Consult → Examine → Diagnose → Make Clinical Decisions → Plan Treatment → Manage Follow-up
This practical approach helps veterinarians develop stronger clinical reasoning skills and a deeper understanding of ophthalmic case management.
Program Schedule
Day 1 — Arrival & Orientation
Rome, Italy
Orientation and introduction to the clinical shadowing program, SeeVet Ophthalmology Center and the European referral environment.
Days 2–5 — Full-Day Clinical Shadowing & Surgical Observation
Participants will spend full days at SeeVet, experiencing a high-volume veterinary ophthalmology referral environment.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
· More than 10 days before the course: 90% of the tuition will be refunded. Within 10 days before the course: Only 50% of the tuition will be refunded. Alternatively, your spot can be transferred to another participant.
· In case of course-related changes (e.g. rescheduling or venue change), a full refund can be requested. No additional compensation will be provided.
· Refunds are typically processed within one month. Thank you for your patience.
· If an invoice is required, please submit your request within 3 months after the course ends. Invoices must be issued within the same calendar year as the tuition payment. No refunds will be processed once an invoice has been issued.
