Course Overview
This intensive veterinary internal medicine course is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical approach to clinical endocrinology and gastroenterology in dogs and cats. Led by internationally recognized specialists Federico Fracassi and Francesca del Baldo, the program focuses on improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment decision-making in everyday clinical practice.
Course Overview
Covering two of the most critical disciplines in small animal medicine, this course integrates evidence-based medicine, structured diagnostic algorithms, and case-based learning. Participants will gain a clear clinical approach to managing common and complex conditions affecting the endocrine and gastrointestinal systems.
What You Will Learn
Step-by-step diagnostic approach to polyuria and polydipsia (PU/PD) and adrenal disorders
Diagnosis and management of Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease, and thyroid diseases
Practical strategies for diabetes mellitus treatment, monitoring, and remission
Clinical approach to vomiting, diarrhea, and chronic enteropathies in dogs and cats
Evidence-based management of pancreatitis and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency
Interpretation of laboratory data in gastroenterology patients
Diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary diseases, including jaundice and chronic hepatitis
Understanding the role of the gut microbiome and dysbiosis in chronic disease
